Birders of Borneo

Jason Bugay Reyes is a Kota Kinabalu-based bird guide and Swarovski Optik ambassador who has logged over 550 species in Bornean Malaysia. Operating under the brand Birders of Borneo, he runs multi-day expeditions targeting the island's endemic specialties — Whitehead's trio of trogon, broadbill and spiderhunter, plus pheasants, pittas and the Bornean Bristlehead — across Sabah's signature reserves from montane Kinabalu and Mt. Trusmadi down to the lowland rainforests of Danum Valley and Tabin. Reyes is a registered Sabah bird guide (S0154) and an active contributor to eBird and Xeno-canto. His 14-day flagship circuit covers Kinabalu, Sepilok, the Kinabatangan River and the Danum/Tabin lowlands, with options scaled for both birding and bird photography.
