About

Bird Alliance of Oregon, formerly known as the Audubon Society of Portland, is a century-old conservation nonprofit headquartered at a 150-acre wildlife sanctuary adjacent to Forest Park in Portland, Oregon. Beyond running a wildlife care centre, nature store and interpretive trails, the organisation operates a structured Ecotour program led by experienced guides for its members and the wider birding public. Its ecotour calendar mixes deep-dive Pacific Northwest birding in places like the Oregon coast, the Klamath Basin and southeastern Oregon with longer international trips to destinations such as Arizona, Florida, Bhutan and Kenya. Tours are framed around science-based learning, conservation messaging and locally important bird areas, and proceeds support the Alliance's habitat and advocacy programs.
