Beyond Barcelona

Beyond Barcelona is a Catalonia-based guiding outfit that pairs birding with hiking, megalithic and chapel-and-village tours. The lead guide, Pere, is an ornithologist with over twenty years of fieldwork and is a member of the Catalan Ornithological Institute, contributing to falcon reintroduction and ongoing bird-census projects. Trips are tailored from half-day outings around Barcelona to multi-day itineraries across Catalonia, targeting a regional list of around 395 recorded species. Headline targets include the four European vultures, Little Bustard, Audouin's Gull and various steppe and wetland specialities. Tours are offered in English, Catalan and Spanish.
