Basar Safak

Basar Safak is a Turkish birding and outdoor guide based at the Özşafak Pension in Çukurbağ village near Çamardı in Niğde province, on the doorstep of the Aladağlar (Crimson Mountains) range in central Anatolia. He inherited the family pension from his father and now combines hosting with guiding services. His local knowledge of the Aladağlar makes him a useful contact for birders working the high-altitude specialities of the Taurus Mountains, alongside trekking, climbing and seasonal skiing. He works on a request basis directly with visiting birders.
