Avocet & Peregrine

Avocet & Peregrine is a Goa-based birding outfit founded by Savio Fonseca, co-author of the Photographic Guide to the Birds of Goa. The company emphasises a systematic, ethical and scientific approach to birdwatching and its guides are among the top-ranked eBirders in the state. Trips cover Goa's classic hotspots including Bondla, Carambolim, the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, the Zuari River backwaters, Bhagwan Mahaveer National Park, Cotigao and Netravali. Multi-day expeditions also push into the Western Ghats of neighbouring Karnataka, working sites such as Old Magazine House at Ganeshgudi for the region's hornbills, trogons and frogmouths.
