About
Amazon Trails Peru is a Cusco-based tour operator established in 2002, based out of an office on Calle Tandapata in the San Blas neighbourhood above the historic centre. Their core product is the Manu Biosphere Reserve circuit, descending from Andean grasslands above 4,000 m through the elfin and cloud forests of the eastern slope down into the lowland Amazon rainforest of Madre de Dios at around 250 m, a transect that yields more than a thousand bird species.
Alongside dedicated birding itineraries, the company runs broader Manu wildlife tours, Andean trekking, and customised private trips. Communication is handled in English, Spanish, and German, with a European booking line in addition to their Peru office, reflecting a long-standing German-speaking client base.
