About
Alpine Birding is a registered Chinese bird tour operator based in Chengdu, Sichuan, in business since 2006 and one of the longest-running locally owned birding companies in the country. The team is led by tour leaders including Bella Zhang, Philip He, Dave Suddaby and Peter Roberts, and runs both fixed-departure and custom trips for keen listers, photographers, and mixed-interest groups.
Their itineraries cover the main Chinese birding regions: the pheasant-rich Sichuan mountains, the Qinghai-Tibet plateau for high-altitude specialities, Yunnan's subtropical forests, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia for Central Asian specialities, and the eastern coastal migration sites. Wildlife extensions add red panda and even snow leopard, and they offer Taiwan itineraries as a stand-alone or add-on.
