About
Algarve Birdwatching is the birding arm of BeCool Travel, a Faro-based nature-tourism company licensed by Portugal's Institute for Nature Conservation and Biodiversity and the national tourism authority. The team runs guided birding and wildlife photography tours across the Algarve and into the neighbouring Alentejo, with English-speaking guides driving small groups between sites.
Products range from half- and full-day excursions out of Faro and Tavira to five- to eight-day guided holidays and self-guided rental-car packages built around key sites such as the Ria Formosa lagoon system, the Castro Marim and Monte Gordo wetlands, and the Sagres migration watchpoint.
