About

Aigas Field Centre has been running small-group wildlife and birding holidays from its estate near Beauly in the Scottish Highlands for over 40 years. Founded by ecologist Sir John Lister-Kaye, the centre is a year-round field-study base offering inclusive learning holidays with up to 30 guests housed in timber lodges across the wooded estate, paired with an unusually high field-guide ratio of about eight guests per ranger. The dedicated birdwatching weeks target around 120 Highland species, with itineraries that visit peregrine and osprey nesting sites, evening hides for pine marten and badger, dawn otter watches, dolphin trips on the Moray Firth, and a west-coast day for sea eagles and the three diver species. Aigas combines hands-on conservation work on its own land with structured guided programmes, making it one of the longest-established serious wildlife centres in northern Scotland.
