Aceh Birder

Aceh Birder is an independent birding tour organiser and ground agent founded in 2007 and based in Aceh, the northernmost province of Sumatra. They operate community-based itineraries across Aceh and into North Sumatra, including the Leuser Ecosystem, the Gayo Highlands and the offshore islands of Weh and Simeulue. Tours focus on Sumatra's endemic and range-restricted species such as Aceh Bulbul, Schneider's Pitta and Roll's Partridge, and the team partners with local agencies and conservation NGOs to keep visiting birders inside small, low-impact groups.
